麻豆原创 Anglican Grammar supports organised tours where participants聽are students currently enrolled at the School, supervising teachers or other persons approved by the school.
All tours should be in harmony with the school鈥檚 Mission and Vision Statements and management of tours should ensure that the good name of the School is upheld at all times. Currently, 麻豆原创 Anglican Grammar runs three International Trips;
This runs on a biennial basis for Year 9, 10 and 11 students. The trip goes for approximately 19 days and visits places such as Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Bassano del Grappa and Venice.
Our aim in running this trip is to foster an attitude of service to others in our students and to develop an appreciation for other cultures. This trip is a practical outworking of our school values of kindness and compassion following the call from the Bible to love God and love others. Through the trip students learn to serve. Giving them an appreciation for the complexity of helping others. We have a lot of fun preparing fundraising events and bringing the situations of others to the awareness of our school community.
We partner with an organisation whose aim is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Students spend a week doing the hands on practical work of house building alongside the family who will one day call it 麻豆原创. We also include some cultural activities to help with acclimatisation and acculturation with time for rest and relaxation as students process their many and varied experiences.
This trip runs on a biennial basis (in alternate years to the Italy trip) for students in Years 9, 10 and 11 (age 15 and above at the time of the trip). The school has been to The Philippines, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and India.
Western Europe聽Study Tour
This trip was run for the first time in March/April 2015 and was available to students in Years 9, 10 and 11. It is planned to run every two years. Students in Years 9 to 12 in 2019 traveled to England, France and Belgium. This wonderful adventure began with four nights in London and surrounds, visiting iconic sites and learning about the rich culture and history of England. Including a day trip to Oxford, Stonehenge and English countryside.
Students and staff then聽crossed the continent to tour the Australian WW1 Battlefields. Visiting iconic and historically significant places such as Fromelles, Villers-Bretonneaux, Ypres in Belgium and the Somme Valley. Our students were privileged to officially participate in the Menin Gate Ceremony in Ypres.
The tour then made its聽way to the magnificent city of Paris, where students experienced the artistic, historical and cultural assets of this amazing city. Parisian sites include the River Seine, Notre Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palace and Gardens, The Louvre and many others.
